Privacy Notice
Effective October 18, 2026
The short version
- Your maps, folders and settings stay on your device. They are never uploaded.
- There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
- In a live game session, only what you share with your players goes to our servers, and it is deleted when the session ends.
Who runs My RPGMap Me
My RPGMap Me (rpgmap.eslabs.me) is made by Edward Schwartz as part of eslabs.me, from Land O' Lakes, Florida, USA. Questions about this notice: eslabs.support@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
Everything you make is stored in your browser's own storage on your device (IndexedDB and local storage): your maps, folders, thumbnails and app settings. The app also keeps a copy of its own files and the art packs in your browser so it works offline. We cannot see or recover any of it. If you clear this site's data in your browser, or uninstall the app, your maps are deleted.
We set one cookie, eslabs-theme, which remembers whether you chose day or night mode so every eslabs.me site matches. It holds nothing else.
What our servers see
The site and app are hosted on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, in the United States). Like any website, the server receives standard request details when you load a page or art file: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page requested and the time. Google Cloud keeps these logs for a limited time for security and to keep the service running. We use them only for that, and we do not sell or share them.
The pages use fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also contacts Google to download them. Google's own privacy policy applies to those requests.
Live game sessions
When you start a live game session and share a map with your players, the app sends our servers a player view of that map: the squares you have uncovered and the items on them that you have not hidden. GM notes, hidden items, hidden labels and the names you give tokens stay on your device. The session also stores its name, the names your players type when they ask to join, and a random anonymous ID for each browser (from Firebase Authentication), so only you and the players you admit can see the session. This data is kept in Google Cloud Firestore and deleted when you end the session, or automatically after 2 hours without activity. The player page also remembers the name a player typed, in that browser only, so it is filled in next time.

Your choices
You can delete maps and folders in the app at any time, or clear all of them by clearing this site's data in your browser. To ask about anything we hold, such as an email you sent, write to eslabs.support@gmail.com.
