Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of My RPGMap Me at rpgmap.eslabs.me, made by Edward Schwartz as part of eslabs.me. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Using the app
My RPGMap Me is free to use for your own games, at home, online or at a store or convention. Please don't try to disrupt or overload the service, get into game sessions you weren't invited to, or use the app to break the law.
Your maps are yours
You own the maps you make. They are stored only on your device, so you are responsible for keeping copies: we cannot see your maps and cannot recover them if your browser data is cleared or your device is lost. Download map files or back up your library from time to time, and keep those copies somewhere safe.
The art packs
The art in the free packs was made for this app. You may use it inside My RPGMap Me, including in maps you export, print, stream or share with your players, for personal and commercial games alike. You may not sell or give away the art itself, on its own or as an asset pack, or use it to train or build a competing map-making product.
Sharing with players
In a live game session you choose who receives your player link and what you share through it. Don't share anything you don't have the right to share or anything unlawful. Anyone with the link can ask to join, and only the players you admit can see your shared maps. A session and everything shared in it are deleted when you end it, or automatically after 2 hours without activity.
Paid art packs
Paid art packs may be offered later. They will come with their own purchase terms, shown before you buy. Everything that is free today stays free.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or that your maps will never be lost.
No guaranteed service or support
We don't guarantee any level of service: no promised uptime, speed, capacity or availability, for the app or for live game sessions. We also don't guarantee any support. You're welcome to email us, and we may answer when we can, but we aren't obliged to reply, fix a problem or add a feature.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, eslabs.me and Edward Schwartz are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Because the app is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero dollars, or the smallest amount the law allows.
Changes and ending the service
We may change the app or these terms at any time. We may also suspend or shut down the app, or any part of it such as live game sessions, at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all, with or without notice. If the terms change, we will update this page and its date. Because your maps live on your device, they stay with you even if the service changes or stops; any game sessions running at the time end, and their data is deleted.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
